Ivy League Week 5 FCS Football Game Breakdowns
Cornell at Yale
Yale had a strong 39-22 win over Colgate. Henry Furman performed well at QB and, as expected, Tyler Varga ran all over the Red Raiders. Cornell was equally impressive over a weaker Bucknell team. Look for the home team to prevail.
Projected Score: Yale 31, Cornell 29
Brown at Harvard
Brown proved that it was more than a middle of the pack Ivy team with an impressive win over Georgetown. Patrick Donnelly starred. Harvard came back against San Diego behind QB Patrick Donnelly, who was 19-27. Harvard, until proven otherwise, is the best team in the Ivies.
Projected Score: Harvard 23, Brown 15
Princeton at Georgetown
The Tigers looked better than last year, despite a narrow loss to Lehigh. Roman Wilson accounted for 168 catching yards. Georgetown was awful against Brown, in falling to 1-3. It is Homecoming for Georgetown.
Projected Score: Princeton 22, Georgetown 13
Monmouth at Columbia
Ryan Flannery was about the only bright spot for Columbia last week, rushing for 108 yards. Monmouth is 1-3, with a win against Holy Cross. Someone has to win.
Projected Score: Monmouth 24, Columbia 19
Penn at Villanova
A battle of heavyweights in Philadelphia. Billy Raggone is a star at Penn. Villanova played well at Boston College in a loss.
Projected Score: Penn 28, Villanova 21
Holy Cross at Dartmouth
Dartmouth beat Butler in the season opener with a strong ground game. This is not a good Holy Cross team at 1-3.
Projected Score: Dartmouth 35, Holy Cross 7
