Tennessee continues to slide after yet another loss, but I don’t see them missing the tournament even if they lose their last regular season game against Vanderbilt on Sunday and get eliminated in their first game in Greenville in the SEC Tournament next week (in a close game), but it would definitely put them on the bubble and on the fence. I think they have done enough already and have the resume to keep them in even if they did drop two more, but it would be close. To me, there is no way for Mississippi State to make crawl back into the Tournament unless they can win against LSU on Sunday and pick up a win or two in Greenville and that could change the trajectory for them. Duke finally drops an ACC contest. Clemson upsets them and Virginia upsets Louisville which give both teams (Clemson & Virginia) a slight boost in their seeding. There should be some debate among the selection committee regarding who should get the No. 1 overall seed – UConn or UCLA. Although the Huskies are undefeated, the Bruins have played in a much tougher conference. UConn has no conference competition whatsoever. UCLA does have six more Q1 wins than UConn so that is something to consider for sure.
