First Four Out: Mississippi State, Nebraska, Stanford, BYU
Nebraska drops out this week along with Mississippi State and they are sitting on the fence teetering between the Last Four In and First Four Out. Colorado enters the bracket this week. Vanderbilt takes over Texas’s spot as a No. 1 after a beat down of the Longhorns. There are a lot of possible changes that can take place within the next few weeks between the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds, and potentially Maryland, who are all on the fence of hosting the First and Second Rounds. Princeton drops to a No. 10 seed as I alluded to last week should they suffer another loss and they did to Columbia. Columbia enters the bracket as the projected Ivy League auto bid. Conference play is about 3/4 of the way, approaching the finish line. We have about 2 weeks left before most of the conferences begin their tournaments. At this point I do not expect the Summit League to have two teams in, nor do I expect the Atlantic 10 to have two teams in the bracket. However, that can change very quickly but those teams (South Dakota State and Richmond) need some help.
