5/12 Baseball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Four In: Troy, Western Kentucky, Notre Dame, Virginia

First Four Out: Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Cal Poly, Baylor

Just when it seemed Texas A&M was gaining momentum toward an NCAA Tournament bid, a stunning sweep at the hands of previously winless SEC foe Missouri has dealt a major blow to their postseason hopes. In my opinion, the Aggies will now need to sweep Georgia to re-enter the field. Meanwhile, LSU continues to strengthen its case as a top seed, jumping four spots to reclaim the No. 2 overall seed after a strong series win over Arkansas. Oregon and UCLA return to the Top 16, while West Virginia and Arizona fall out after recent setbacks. Several teams remain on the bubble for hosting a Regional, including Dallas Baptist, Ole Miss, Florida, and UC Irvine.
