3/16 Women's Basketball Bracketology Breakdown - Final

Last Four In: Nebraska, Washington, Columbia, Princeton

First Four Out: Arizona, Colorado, Virginia Tech, St. Joseph’s

Today is Selection Sunday. The time of year where college basketball fans gather around a TV, laptop, or phone to watch the unveiling of the Field of 68. This bracket has remained intact for seedings 1-10 through this week with the exception of Harvard replacing Columbia for the Ivy League’s auto-bid as a 10-seed and the decision to swap Richmond and Nebraska (a 10-seed for a Last Four In play-in game as an 11). Both Arizona and Colorado can make a strong argument for being in the tournament. Those are really the only other two teams I see outside the Last Four In who legitimately have a chance at making the field. The biggest surprise is Oregon State. Despite having a fairly poor performance during the season, they were able to win the West Coast Tournament after leaving the Pac-12 last season in which they made it deep in the NCAA Tournament. Last season, I remember I managed to outperform Charlie Crème with his projected bracket. It will be fun to see how it turns out this season.
