Last Four In: Florida Atlantic, BYU, UCF, South Alabama
First Four Out: Penn State, Kansas, Texas Tech, Nebraska,
It is finally here. The NCAA Division 1 Softball bracket will be revealed on Sunday at 7pm ET on ESPN2 with action starting May 16. There were not many bid-stealers this season after conference tournament play. In fact, I don’t think there are any. There just isn’t enough room to fit all the deserving teams who are worthy of a top-8 national seed or top-16 national seed for that matter. There are many teams this year on the fence of being a top-8 seed or top-16. It was difficult to make the final decision, but they have been made. All SEC teams make the field this year in the projected bracket for the first time since 2018. Oklahoma jumps Texas for the overall 1-seed, nationally. Florida Atlantic is our last team in the tournament with Penn State being the first team to be left out followed by Kansas, Texas Tech, and Nebraska.
