Princeton Football Ready to Roll Over Columbia
It is not the best game on the docket for the Ivies, but it features a team which will most likely be traveling to the Yale Bowl on November 15th to seek an Ivy crown. That would be the Princeton Tigers. The Tigers travel to Columbia on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers opened the year with a close loss at San Diego and then followed with a 56-17 drubbing of Davidson. Princeton, like Yale, has an explosive offense. They are led by star quarterback Quinn Epperly who rushed for 129 yards and passed for 176 in the home win. The Tigers were the preseason pick to win the Ivies, narrowly edging out Harvard.
Columbia was picked last and is living up to its billing at 0-2. They fell 42-7 to nationally ranked Albany last week. Cameron Molina rushed for 101 yards in the loss. Princeton has won three straight in the series, with the last Columbia win coming at home. Don't look for an upset this year as the Tigers will roll on the road in a game which will most likely be viewed by more Princeton New York alumni, than Columbia fans.
