Last Four In: Louisville, Maryland, Illinois, Wake Forest
First Four Out: DePaul, Georgia, Rutgers, Ohio State
The second week of the 2014 women’s soccer season was a little bit quiet except for a couple of notable occurrences. The struggles of North Carolina offensively have become very alarming as they have fallen to 1-2-1 after not scoring a goal against UCLA or Pepperdine. UCLA continued to be dominant defensively with two more shutouts over North Carolina and San Diego. Wake Forest has fallen back on the bubble after a very difficult 1-2 first week of the 2014 season. Also, keep an eye on Texas Tech as they look primed to take over the Big 12 conference this fall with West Virginia struggling.
