Bonae Holston, Senior, Small Forward, North Carolina State

 North Carolina State Team Page

Overview:

As a freshman at North Carolina State, Bonae Holston provided a nice spark off of the bench. In fact, she was the ACC’s Sixth Player of the Year after averaging 9.6 points and 5.7 rebounds. As a sophomore the 6-1 small forward stepped into a starting role and a starring role for the Wolfpack. She led the squad with 12.1 points and 6.3 rebounds and was always a threat to have a huge scoring output on any given day.

As an upperclassman, Holston was scoring even more. During the 2010-2011 campaign she tallied 16.3 points per game and added 8.4 rebounds. She has a knack for scoring and can back down bigger opponents or attack the basket.

Final Projection:

Holston is not a shooter, she is simply a scorer. At 6-1, she has the size to power past most defenders and the agility to get around slower defenders. And once she gets to the basket it is usually too late to stop her. Holston lacks an all-around game and she is not a great defender or a particularly good passer. Yet, what she does do, which is score and rebound, she does extremely well.
