Last Eight In: Saint Mary’s, Utah, DePaul, Marquette, Vanderbilt, BYU, Arkansas, Georgia Tech
First Eight Out: Florida, North Carolina State, San Diego, Texas, Indiana, Missouri, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech
There are quite a few major conference teams who still have a lot to prove. Squads like Indiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Mississippi State are off to great starts, but the toughest part of their schedule still remains with conference play coming up. All four of those squads have had easy routes so far, but have done exactly what they needed to do by boosting their record early. Now a .500 mark in conference play with a few inevitable quality wins along the way should be enough to get any of those squads into the NCAA Tournament. But that is much easier said than done in the Big Ten and SEC.
