Week 9 FCS Football Game Breakdowns
On a week to week basis, FCS football never fails to disappoint. The big contest this week is #4 Eastern Washington heading to #2 Montana. The Big Sky showdown will go a long way in determining the conference champion. EWU and Montana State, who hosts 3-1 UC Davis, are the lone undefeated teams remaining in the Big Sky. One loss teams Northern Arizona and Cal Poly also square off on Saturday. The Ohio Valley Conference will get a favorite to win the conference title this weekend when Eastern Illinois faces off against Tennessee State. The Panthers are 3-0 in OVC play while the surprising Tigers are now 4-0. The final two undefeated teams in Southern Conference play are also going at this week. Wofford hosts Samford on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are currently in the middle of a brutal four game road trip, but they are coming off of huge wins against Georgia Southern and Appalachian State. This may be their toughest test yet though. A win here and the Bulldogs are looking very good for a playoff spot.
