Stanford Women's College Soccer

Women’s Soccer Games of the Week (9/26 – 9/29)

#25 Denver (7-1-1) at #22 BYU (5-2-1), Thursday, 9 pm ET

The Pioneers are coming off of a rough weekend, in which they tied TCU and suffered a loss at Nebraska. They will look to get back to their winning ways at BYU. Kristen Hamilton is the team's stud, as her 19 points more than double the next player's output.  She has seven goals, which is tops in the Summit League, and five assists.  Cassidy Rey has been great between the pipes, giving up only six goals in 828 minutes and saving 51 balls.

BYU, on the other hand, is much more offensively balanced, with nobody having more than Ashley Hatch and Rachel Manning's three goals. The Cougars have lost two of their last three and will be looking to get back on the winning track.

#2 Stanford (7-0-1, 0-0 Pac-12) at Colorado (8-1, 0-0 Pac-12), Saturday, 3 pm ET

The Cardinal is undefeated and comes in with a five-game winning streak, after squeaking out a nationally-televised 3-2 double overtime win over Santa Clara. Stanford has two primary goal scorers, Taylor Uhl and Courtney Verloo. Uhl has eight goals, while Verloo has five. The Cardinal has outscored its opponents 22-5 thanks to the stellar goalie duo of Jane Campbell and Emily Oliver.

Colorado comes in with only one loss on its record, to Denver, and riding a two-game winning streak after winning its own Omni Soccer Classic last weekend. Like their opponents, the Buffs have two primary goal scorers, Brie Hooks (seven goals) and Anne Stuller (six goals). Annie Brunner has played all but five minutes in goal and has racked up 24 saves on the season.

#23 Wisconsin (6-1-1, 1-0 Big Ten) at Michigan State (6-1-2, 0-1 Big Ten), Sunday, 2 pm ET

The Spartans dropped their first match their last time out, a 1-0 heartbreaker to Nebraska. MSU's spreads out its scoring, as four players either have two or three goals and seven others have a goal each. Mary-Kate Fiebernitz and Jessica White are the leaders with three scores each. Courtney Clem and Gabrielle Gauruder have split time in goal, but Clem leads the squad with 27 saves.

The Badgers finish their tough trip through the state of Michigan on a three-game winning streak prior to the game against Michigan Friday. Star Cara Walls leads the team with 10 goals, while Paige Adams and Monica Lam-Feist have six apiece. Lauren Gunderson has been the team's primary goalie, having started 14 of 15 matches and playing over 1,200 minutes.  She has 56 saves on the season.
