Victor Oladipo, Junior, Guard, Indiana
Overview:
Victor Oladipo really jumped onto the national scene during his junior campaign, but he was making an impact back in 2010-2011. As a freshman, the young Oladipo started a handful of games for the Hoosiers and started to emerge as a defensive presence. As a sophomore his defense was just as good, but the 6-5 guard started doing much more than just playing defense; he also averaged 10.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists.
And his versatility was key for the Big Ten champion Indiana squad during the 2012-2013 campaign. Oladipo turned into a better all-around scorer, a tougher rebounder and a fine passer.
Final Projection:
Since Oladipo can do it all, he is on everybody’s NBA Draft radar. At the least Oladipo can be a shutdown defender for any NBA squad, but he has the potential to do so much more. Oladipo does not shoot much from beyond the arc, but he is a good shooter with NBA range. If he develops his shot a bit more, Oladipo will be a solid shooting guard at the next level.
