Nigel Bradham NFL Draft Profile

Nigel Bradham NFL Draft Profile

Nigel Bradham, Senior, Outside Linebacker, Florida State

Overview:

Nigel Bradham can play outside linebacker in a 4-3 defense or move to the inside in a 3-4 scheme. He has moved around a little bit during his collegiate career at Florida State, but no matter where he plays, Bradham is a productive player. The highly regarded recruit stepped right into the regular rotation as a true freshman and into a starting role the following year and has not given up that spot.

What makes Bradham a likely high draft pick is his versatility. He is a tackling machine. In 2009 he led the Seminoles with 93 tackles and led FSU again in 2010 with 98 stops. In 2010 he also tallied 5.5 tackles-for-loss and 5.0 sacks.

Final Projection:

Bradham’s ability to do everything in the middle of the defense should make him a first round selection come NFL Draft time. He may not have great hands for picking off passes, but he has enough speed and coverage skills to hang with tight ends or running backs on short routes and break up his fair share of passes. However, it is his knack for being around the ball that will impress scouts.
