Logan Ryan, Junior, CB, Rutgers
Overview:
Logan Ryan is a guy that not many people may know about because he played at Rutgers this season. In fact, he did not even lead his team in interceptions (he was second). Ryan, however, has shown the ability to be one of the first cornerbacks taken in April’s draft. He has a knack for being around the ball (third in the Big East in interceptions). He also has great speed for a cornerback. His last known 40 time was 4.45. At nearly 6’0” he is tall enough to disrupt an opposing receiver’s clean route. If he were a few inches taller he might even be considered an elite corner prospect this year.
Final Projection:
Ryan is an intriguing prospect, but he was not one that necessarily jumped off the screen or the page at you. But in a passing league, it is important for teams to find guys that can keep up with the ever-changing pass offense. Ryan is a fast kid who will be able to keep up on the outside or in the slot. He also looks like he could be a vital special teams cover man. The second round is most likely where his name will be called.
