Overview:
Nerissa Myers’ name will not be unfamiliar when the NPF draft takes place. It was Myers’ sixth inning double that produced Louisiana’s 5-4 win in NPF’s Back to School tour in October of 2012. Speedy, with 21 stolen bases, Myers also has power with 13 home runs and 19 doubles in 2012. She is a proven run-scorer with a national best 1.41 runs per game, had a .513 on base percentage, and tallied 134 total bases.
Final Projection:
Myers has speed and power and scores a considerable amount of runs. She is statistically the seventh best fielder on the Louisiana squad, but has range and can make plays many shortstops cannot. She should get serious consideration in the draft.
