DaMontre Moore, Junior, Defensive End, Texas A&M
Overview:
Texas A&M had an incredible first season in the SEC. They beat Alabama, their quarterback won the Heisman Trophy, and defensively DaMontre Moore was nothing short of a stud. He led the team in tackles by a mile with 21 and sacks with a whopping 12.5. He had six straight games recording at least one sack. He’s a productive guy that strikes fear in the heart of the opposing signal-caller.
Final Projection:
Since the junior declared for the draft, he has been shooting up draft boards. In the NFL, you can never have too many solid pass rushers. His production and tenacity cannot be denied, and general managers have seen that. Moore is 6’4” and 250 lbs. It’s an ideal size for an edge rusher. He is generally considered a top five pick by most experts. He would most likely fit best in a 4-3 scheme. His upside is high though so coaches who run a 3-4 may take him anyway. His name will be called early.
