Drew Crawford NBA Draft Profile

Drew Crawford NBA Draft Profile

Drew Crawford, Senior, Shooting Guard, Northwestern

Overview:

Drew Crawford passes the eye test when it comes to looking for an NBA shooting guard. He has had an extremely productive collegiate career, stands 6-5 and 210 pounds, can shoot the ball and attack the basket. During his junior campaign at Northwestern, Crawford averaged 16.1 points per game, 4.7 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He is even a pretty good defender.

Crawford’s toughest test will come in 2012-2013 as the Wildcats will ask him to do even more for their team. With all eyes on him, can he still shoot 41.2 percent from long range?

Final Projection:

Crawford is a good athletic wing who can knock down jumpers with consistency and use his size and athleticism to help out on the glass. However, he can be relatively passive at times and settle for a jumper when he could be getting a better shot by getting to the basket. Even in the NBA he has the size and strength to be more assertive. As the senior leader at Northwestern, he may do just that and then his draft stock will soar.
