Augusto Cesar Lima, Power Forward, Brazil
Overview:
Augusto Cesar Lima is not the most technically brilliant basketball player around, but he simply gets the job done. Lima, a 6-10 power forward, has been playing in the top flight of the Spanish league and has already proven that he can play against some of the best competition in the world. His tenacity is what makes him such an intriguing prospect. Lima is a good athlete, but few will work as hard to help his team win.
Lima is a smart player who pretty much does what he can do. He rarely forces the issue. There is not much he cannot do on the basketball court. However, he does lack top level offensive skills. He can face the basket at times or he can play with his back to the basket. He is a little undersized to be a five in the NBA, so his face up game needs to improve.
Final Projection:
Being stuck in the power forward spot will limit Lima’s demand in the 2012 NBA Draft. His post game is a little lacking as it is and he must show that he can knock down shots more consistently. Lima is worthy of a second round selection because of his willingness to work hard and get better. And he will get better.
