Kendall Reyes, Senior, Defensive Tackle, Connecticut
Overview:
Kendall Reyes has imposing size. Standing six foot four and weighing 295 pounds he is too massive to ignore. He has the ideal size to play as either a 3-4 end, or a 4-3 tackle, which he played in his collegiate days. While at Connecticut he started every year but his redshirt freshman season. This past season he recorded 4.5 sacks while playing the majority of snaps at nose tackle. He also chipped in with four passes batted down. Reyes was not on many scouts’ radar as a top prospect until the senior bowl where it was reported that he outplayed many of the top tackles in this year’s class. That performance, combined with his size, quickly put him on draft boards.
Final Projection:
Reyes has ideal size and lots of experience. His junior and senior seasons he rotated between playing tackle and end, so that flexibility makes him an even better prospect. Reyes is a tough player to slot in the draft, as he could go as high as the later portion of the first round or as a low as the bottom half of the second round. Either way Reyes should be an impactful player and be selected within the first two rounds of the upcoming draft.
