Nolan Sanburn, Sophomore, Pitcher, Arkansas
Overview:
Freshman All-American Nolan Sanburn is a solid right handed pitcher who struck out 35 batters in 32.1 innings during 24 appearances in 2011. That is rare for a freshman. With the help of Sanburn, the Razorbacks finished with a 40-22 record and finished atop the SEC West. Nolan then went on to play in a summer baseball league for the Bombers in the Northwoods league to further fine tune his pitching. There he struck out 24 and walked nine with an ERA of 2.33.
Draft Projection:
In 2010 he was drafted in the 34th round by the Detroit Tigers. He was pitching in the low 90's back then. In the 2012 MLB Draft he can slide up the draft boards if he can crack the 100 mph fastball barrier.
