Jen Mineau, Senior, Pitcher, Fordham
Overview:
Jen Mineau has been a dominate pitcher at Fordham for her entire collegiate career. Back in 2009 during her freshman campaign, Mineau threw two no-hitters in one week. By the end of her junior season that total was up to seven no-hitters, four of which were perfect games. Over the next few years she has been named to just about every All-American team that exists. In 2010 her earned run average was a mere 1.04. Few have had any luck hitting the 5-9 right hander. It was also in 2010 when Mineau hurled an amazing 282.1 innings and struck out 503 unfortunate hitters. The numbers were not quite as impressive in 2011, but a 1.22 ERA is still very, very imposing and she will go the distance almost every time she starts a game.
Final Projection:
This year’s draft class is a little light on pitchers. Many of the top pitchers in the collegiate game are not seniors, so that may increase Mineau’s draft stock in the pitching dominated NPF.
