Nikia Williams, Senior, Utility, Washington
Overview:
Nikia Williams burst onto the national scene as a freshman when she set records for RBI’s in a game and series during the Women’s College World Series. Ever since then Williams has been a consistent power hitter who is always a threat to hit a homerun. Williams has had some great teammates around her during her time at Washington and has not really had the chance to carry the team on her own. That should change in 2012.
Final Projection:
Williams does have speed to go with her power and that can be a lethal combination for the opposition. Few teams want to pitch to her, but you do not want her on base either or she will find a way to get into scoring position. Williams is mostly a pure power hitter and she may need to find a position at the next level. She would be a great utility player who can come in and play just about anywhere, but she is better than a bench player in the NPF.
