Sam Houston State's Playoff Picture Looks Good

Not only does Sam Houston State win games, but they win them handily. The Bearkats closest game of the year was a three point win at FBS member New Mexico. Since October 8th, they have outscored their opponents by an average score of 47 to 8. That is domination. Central Arkansas is clearly the second best team in the Southland Conference, but SHSU beat them easily back in September 31-10. As a result, the Bearkats are garnering a ton of national respect and keep slowly moving up the College Sports Madness bracket. With games against Northwestern State and Texas State left on the schedule, running back Tim Flanders and company are eyeing an undefeated regular season. If, and most likely when, that happens, Sam Houston State will be sitting in a good position for the playoffs. By then they should be in a position to at least earn a top five seed and avoiding those strong teams in the MVFC and Southern Conference will be very beneficial. Of course it all comes down to matchups during the playoffs, but Sam Houston State has been unstoppable all year long and the tougher competition will make things a little more interesting, but the Bearkats have the talent to make it to Frisco.
