North Dakota State Claims Top Spot in The Madness FCS Top 25
North Dakota State was supposed to play second fiddle to Northern Iowa and Southern Illinois in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Back on October 8th, the Bison knocked off SIU on the road. On Saturday they beat Northern Iowa 27-19. At 5-0 in conference play and 8-0 overall, NDSU has vaulted into the top spot in the College Sports Madness Top 25. Appalachian State is right on their heels after knocking off Georgia Southern last week, but North Dakota State should be looking at a #1 seed in the playoffs if they can win out. The toughest remaining test for NDSU is this week at Indiana State. The Sycamores have had a very good season and will be tough a matchup in Terre Haute with a week of rest. But if the Bison can win at Minnesota and Southern Illinois, they can certainly win at Indiana State and run the table. If they can secure the top seed in the playoffs, Coach Craig Bohl and company will have a nice pace through the playoffs and must be considered one of the favorites, if not the favorite, to win it all.
