Introducing Missouri’s Frank Haith

Introducing Missouri’s Frank Haith

Missouri was kind of sent scrambling when Mike Anderson left for his old stomping grounds in Arkansas. A lot of big names were thrown around and the Tigers ended up nabbing Coach Frank Haith away from Miami. As with any coaching change, the fan base had some high hopes of who would be the next coach at Missouri, but ultimately felt a little disappointed in the end. It happens, but despite Coach Haith’s lack of NCAA Tournament appearances (he had one in 2008) at Miami over seven seasons, he is a great recruiter and a pretty darn good coach.

This year will be interesting as Coach Haith tries to mend together his own coaching philosophy with the personnel left behind by Coach Anderson and his fastest 40 minutes in basketball style of play. The true results of the Haith era will come in the following seasons when Missouri will need to rebuild their upperclassmen roster with new faces. That is when Haith and his recruiting will come into play.

Frank Haith was hired on April 4th as the 17th head men’s basketball coach at Missouri. The following day Coach Haith addressed the media and sold Missouri on what he can do for Missouri basketball.
