College Football: Georgia eager to climb the AP Top 25 rankings

The latest Associated Press (AP) Top 25 rankings undoubtedly paint an intriguing picture where the ongoing College Football season is concerned.

Ohio State top the standings after posting an impressive 6-0 record and are the bookmakers’ favourites to win the title.

However, as fans of blackjack online live dealer games will recognise, betting on high-octane sports such as American Football is rarely straightforward.

Regularly beating the dealer in blackjack is probably easier to achieve than predicting which team will emerge victorious at the end of the campaign.

With that in mind, read on as we look at the latest AP Top 25 rankings and the outright betting, before identifying some of the standout games scheduled for Week 8.

Georgia eager to keep rolling against Ole Miss

Many pundits believe that winning games while not playing well is a crucial asset for title-winning teams and Georgia will hope that mantra applies to them.

They were dominated by Auburn last weekend, but battled back to move to 5-1 for the season courtesy of a 20-10 victory.

Georgia will now have the opportunity to showcase their title credentials when unbeaten Ole Miss visit them this weekend.

Despite being 40/1 shots to win the title, Ole Miss are currently ranked fifth in the AP Top 25. A victory for Georgia would fire them up the standings.

The clash between Tennessee and Alabama also has the potential to be hugely informative. They each boast 5-1 records, so something will have to give.

With 18 claimed titles to their name, Alabama is one of the most successful college football programmes in the United States.

They handed Missouri their first loss of the season last weekend and will be eager to follow up against a team which boasts a strong offensive unit.

Alabama’s Kalen DeBoer now has an 18-3 all-time record against AP Top 25 opponents, cementing his status as one of the best coaches in college football.

Other standout games this weekend include the clash between Notre Same and USC. BYU versus Utah could also have a significant impact on the Big 12 title battle.
