Maine Keeps Moving Up The Madness FCS Top 25
Not long ago Maine was off the national radar. Other CAA teams like James Madison, New Hampshire, William & Mary, Delaware, Richmond and Umass were garnering all the attention…and rightfully so in many cases. However, the Black Bears have some impressive wins under their belt. Over the last three weeks they have beaten Delaware, James Madison and, most recently, Rhode Island. Even their mid-September victory at Albany is more impressive now than it was back then. The fact that Maine’s past wins keep looking better as the season progresses means the Black Bears are a better team than most thought. That has vaulted them up the College Sports Madness Top 25. And Maine has more opportunities to add some quality wins to their resume. Up next is a trip to Richmond, followed by another road trip to Villanova. A couple wins there and Maine will be thinking about a Colonial Athletic Association championship and a deep run in the FCS Playoffs.
