Wofford Knocks App State Down in The Madness FCS Playoff Projections
Wofford’s ground game was way too much for Appalachian State to handle as the Terriers knocked off the once top ranked Mountaineers 28-14. That result has shaken up the Southern Conference pecking order and the College Sports Madness FCS Playoff Projections. Wofford has some tough games left, like a trip to The Citadel this week, who is coming off of a huge upset victory on the road in Chattanooga, but the November 12th showdown against Georgia Southern looms large. The Southern Conference was pretty much a three horse race as it was, but the race is now wide open with Wofford’s victory over Appalachian State. Georgia Southern is the top SoCon team in the College Sports Madness Top 25, but they have to play both Wofford and Appalachian State on the road, so that will likely shake things up again.
