Week 12 Football Bowl Projections Breakdown

No team in the committee’s top ten lost this weekend, so there are not a lot of big changes in the bowl projections this week. Quite a few teams got their sixth win to clinch bowl eligibility, but there are still many who are looking for their sixth win in their final game this weekend. It looks very unlikely that 6-win teams will fill all 82 bowl spots. That is good news for James Madison and Jacksonville State, who would be next in line. After that, possible 5-7 teams like Minnesota and Rice, who have a high APR score, would be in a good spot to still go bowling. For now, we are keeping teams that can still reach six wins and are otherwise bowl eligible in our projections, but next week look for JMU and JSU to get into the projections assuming there are not a ton of upset victories for teams that are currently 5-6.
