Chemistry 101 at Mississippi State
One of the more embarrassing television moments of the year came at the Diamond Head Classic when Mississippi State teammates Renardo Sidney and Elgin Bailey got in a little scuffle. This was just one instance of the unrest in the Bulldogs program. Oddly enough, that was right after Sidney was reinstated after being suspended for a different reason. He was suspended again after the fight…obviously. Bailey later transferred.
But that is the issue with Mississippi State this year…chemistry. Sidney is a superb big man who I would not want to get in a fight with, especially while on vacation in Hawaii. That would ruin my trip, but I’d be spending the rest of it in the hospital. Sidney needs to stay out of trouble, especially on national television, if this team wants to live up to their potential. And their potential is huge if everybody can stay healthy and out of trouble.
