Robert Griffin III Earns The Madness Football Player of the Week Honors

Robert Griffin III led the way for Baylor to upset TCU, who was ranked #22 by College Sports Madness heading into week one. Baylor took a 47-23 lead into the fourth quarter thanks to the magnificent passing of Griffin. On the game he completed 21 of 27 passes for 359 yards and five touchdowns and those stats helped earn Griffin the College Sports Madness Offensive Player of the Week Award. Those are some impressive numbers no matter who one is playing against. However, this was against the Horned Frogs and their traditionally stellar defense. TCU made a big comeback in the fourth quarter and took a 48-47 lead with a few minutes left to play. Then it was Griffin’s turn to lead his team down the field for the game winning field-goal and that is exactly what he did.
