Iona Pie
Upon learning that Don McLean attended Iona, I had grandiose plans of rewriting ‘American Pie’ to talk about Iona College in 8 minutes and 34 seconds of lyrical genius. There would be verses about New Rochelle and “Harold and Maude” and Loftus Hall. But then I figured I could spend my time doing something slightly more worthwhile (turns out I didn’t) and I would just rewrite the chorus about replacing power forward Alejo Rodriguez. Enjoy.
