This weird 2020 season does give teams outside of the Power Five conferences a shot at the reaching playoffs. Teams like Cincinnati and BYU will have to run the table, but that could be enough for them to end up in the top four. The Bearcats picked up a nice win at UCF this week and have a decent resume. A trip to Tulsa on December 12th could prove to be their toughest test of the year. The Cougars have a nice win over Boise State, but overall their schedule has not been as tough as Cincinnati’s. However, they have won eight games by at least 30 points. If either of them is going to get a serious look at the playoffs though, a handful of power conference teams are going to have to lose along the way.
