College Basketball DFS Advice, 11/10

Sunday is a relatively quiet day in the world of college basketball. The headliner of the day is the Sunshine State Rivalry between Florida and Florida State. Games between Louisville/Youngstown State and Boston College/South Florida are also included in DraftKings’ main slate.

Studs:
Jordan Nwora (DK: 8,600, FD: 8,700)
Jordan Nwora is the most expensive player on both sites, but he is well worth using in lineups Sunday. Nwora was Preseason ACC Player of the Year and defended that title with 23 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in a road opener against Miami. Now against a less challenging opponent at home, Nwora should be able to get whatever he wants on the floor.

David Collins (DK: 8,000, FD: 7,600)
David Collins isn’t a well-known name around the country, but he was a star at South Florida last season and started 2019-20 off similarly. Collins averaged 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.1 steals last season. In his first game this year, Collins put up 18 points along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Collins, along with teammate Laquincy Rideau, should be locked into lineups in what should be a competitive game against Boston College.

Bargains:
Devin Vassell (DK: 4,600, FD: 4,100)
Devin Vassell’s 14 points against Pittsburgh don’t look like much in the box score, but he was making big-time jump shots in that game. Vassell got into foul trouble early in the game, or his stat-line could’ve been even better. In a game against Florida where the Seminoles will have to score a lot of points, Vassell’s jump shooting should be key and lead to a big game for him.

Samuell Williamson (DK: 6,200, FD: 4,700)
Samuell Williamson had a strong collegiate debut, scoring 13 points and adding 5 rebounds against Miami. Williamson instantly looked like he belong on the floor against an ACC opponent, and now facing a mid-major team, Williamson has potential to have a monster game.

Avoid:
Trent Forrest (DK: 6,800, FD: 6,300)
Trent Forrest’s stat-line from the game against Pittsburgh looks good with 19 points to go along with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. However, Forrest averaged just 9.3 points per game last season and is traditionally not that aggressive as a scorer. Now, Forrest faces Florida who has been a defensive minded team under Mike White, and will be guarded by Andrew Nembhard who is a tough defender.
