Last Eight In: Tennessee, Buffalo, LSU, Utah, Indiana, UCF, Kansas State, Clemson
First Eight Out: TCU, Ohio, BYU, Georgia Tech, West Virginia, Boise State, Villanova, Butler
Conference tournaments get rolling this week and this is the last chance for bubble teams to play their way into the NCAA Tournament. But the top of the seedings are perhaps even more interesting. The ACC is hoping to get both Notre Dame and Louisville a #1 seed, but we project Mississippi State or Oregon, if they win out, to get the last spot instead of an Irish or Cardinals team that loses in the conference tournament. Notre Dame has arguably the tougher road to a conference tournament title. If the seeds hold true, the Irish will play North Carolina on Friday and Miami on Saturday. Those are the two ACC teams that have beaten Notre Dame this year. Louisville also gets a double bye into the quarterfinals on Friday and will likely play Clemson and North Carolina State before a potential showdown with the Irish with a conference tournament title and, perhaps, a #1 seed on the line.
