There will not be any 5-7 teams reaching a bowl this season. And having too many bowl eligible teams also makes for nervous waiting for some 6-6 teams in the lower level conferences. At the moment we are projecting Wyoming, Miami (OH) and Louisiana-Monroe to miss out. But of course the individual bowls may have drastically different ideas. The teams without conference affiliation also have reason for concern. Army is currently 9-2, but could miss out due to secondary bowl affiliations. That will partly depend on who the selection committee picks for the major bowls and then it will trickle down from there.
