Clemson Tigers
Overall Rank: #14
Conference Rank: #3 ACC
Clemson has some rebuilding to do after going 40-21 in 2017. All four starting pitchers are gone. The bullpen is in very good shape, but somebody has to step up and keep the Tigers in the game until they can get to the bullpen. There are a few options, but none of them are very experienced. Of course Coach Monte Lee has talent, but how quickly he can rebuild his starting rotation will go a long way in determining how far this team can go.
2017: 40-21, 17-13

Key Returning Players:

Logan Davidson, IF, .286 BA, 12 HR, 41 RBI
Chris Williams, C/IF, .261 BA, 14 HR, 51 RBI
Projection:
While the rotation rebuilds, Clemson will rely on their talented group of hitters. Seth Beer had another impressive season as a sophomore, batting .298 with 16 homeruns and 53 RBIs. As a freshman two years ago Beer hit .369 with 18 homeruns and 70 RBIs. Beer may have had a bit of a sophomore slump compared to his amazing freshman campaign, but he has proven that he can carry this team. But it is not all up to Beer. Logan Davidson and Chris Williams are potent power hitters too. Davidson hit a dozen homeruns, while Williams added 14 homers with 51 RBIs. Those three will drive in a ton of runs and Clemson can outscore just about anybody on any given day. However, if they need to score too much in order to get a win, the Tigers could struggle at times.
