The projected participants in the playoffs (Alabama, Penn State, Georgia and TCU) went unchanged this week. It was the Nittany Lions though that made the biggest statement with a 42-13 victory over Michigan in Happy Valley. There were some questions about how good Penn State really is since this was the first ranked opponent they have played all year, but they answered those questions. However, they do have two road games against ranked opponents coming up in the next two weeks. After a trip to Ohio State this weekend, Coach James Franklin and company head to East Lansing. Those two games will likely decide who wins the Big Ten East.
