The non-conference analysis is simply a look at who each FCS team is playing as of late May / early June. Occasionally schedules change, FBS schools buyout contracts and swap opponents, causing a domino effect. So these are tentative opponents, subject to change.

The SWAC plays 36 non-conference games. Eleven of those are against the FBS, of which Alabama A&M plays three! Talk about challenging yourself! There’s also eleven sub-Division I games, but since the champion of the Southwestern goes to the Celebrations Bowl against the Mid-Eastern champion, they have no Selection Committee to impress. Of the fourteen FCS games, six are against the Southland, with three played by Prairie View A&M. Mississippi Valley State has a back to back travel itinerary to start the season in the Missouri Valley, yikes!
