Connecticut was punched in the mouth right away on Sunday against Texas as the Longhorns were controlling the glass and causing the Huskies plenty of fits in the first quarter. However, head coach Geno Auriemma pulled out an epic on the fly timeout speech and the Connecticut team responded as they upended the Longhorns 72-54. Duke was on fire offensively on Sunday against South Carolina as Rebecca Greenwell’s 29 points led the Blue Devils offensively to push their record to 9-1 on the season. Baylor sent Tennessee into even more of a tail spin as the Bears destroyed the Lady Vols 88-66 on Sunday afternoon. Alexis Jones led Baylor with 30 points and the Bears quite frankly looked like a much better prepared team than Tennessee all afternoon long. This performance by Tennessee has to call into question the direction of the program under head coach Holly Warlick as there is talent on the roster to play at a higher level. Oral Roberts had been struggling this season as they were 3-4 heading into Norman on Sunday, but stepped up and shocked the Sooners 74-67 with a late rally from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to stun Oklahoma.
