Right now the playoff picture could not be any clearer. There is one undefeated team in each power conference except the Big 12. Certainly that will not last, but for now Clemson, Michigan, Washington and Alabama are the clear playoff participants. There is one other undefeated team out there. And perhaps Western Michigan was the biggest winner of the week despite not playing. The Broncos of Western Michigan watched Wyoming upset the Broncos of Boise State in a thriller and WMU is now in line to represent the mid-majors in the New Year’s Six Bowls.
