Laremy Tunsil NFL Draft Profile

Laremy Tunsil NFL Draft Profile

Laremy Tunsil, Offensive Tackle, Mississippi

Overview:

Laremy Tunsil was part of that great Mississippi recruiting class heading into the 2013 season. He immediately stepped into the left tackle spot and absolutely dominated the opposition. He started nine games at left tackle and allowed just one sack. He earned a variety of All-SEC and Freshman All-American honors for his efforts. Tunsil continued his great play as a sophomore in 2014 and was again recognized by many outlets as an All-American honoree.

Final Projection:

Right now, when healthy, there is not a more dominating offensive tackle in all of college football than Tunsil. He did fracture his fibula in Mississippi’s Peach Bowl loss against TCU and will need to show that he is back to his old ways. Tunsil, at 6-5 and 305 pounds, is strong, but it is his technique and footwork that make him so difficult to deal with. Those are teachable skills, but Tunsil has them now and that makes him a very attractive option for any NFL team in need of a left tackle to protect their quarterback for the next decade or so.
