8 | South Carolina | Gamecocks played excellent defense in their run to the quarterfinals. They continue to get better as a program. | ||
9 | Wisconsin | Badgers took a nice step forward this season with several signature wins and they'll continue to test Penn State in the Big Ten. | ||
10 | North Carolina | North Carolina fell short at home against South Carolina in the Sweet 16 by not being able to finish scoring chances. | ||
11 | Pepperdine | Waves gave UCLA all they wanted in the Sweet 16 in battling the Bruins very hard in a 1-0 loss. | ||
12 | West Virginia | Mountaineers fall victim to the penalty kick shootout in the opening round at home to a pesky Georgetown side. | ||
13 | Texas Tech | Red Raiders were resilient in rally from two goals down against Florida in the Sweet 16, but could not hold off the Gators. | ||
14 | Washington | Washington's improvement offensively and quality defending propelled them to a Sweet 16 run in 2014. | ||
15 | Notre Dame | A good first season under new coach Theresa Romagnolo for the Fighting Irish as they continue to establish themselves in the ACC. | ||
16 | Virginia Tech | Hokies rally nicely to get to the Sweet 16 after an up and down run through ACC play. | ||
17 | UCF | The Knights get a signature win in the NCAA Tournament in the second round against Wisconsin to highlight their run to the Sweet 16. | ||
18 | Kentucky | Wildcats ran into a buzzsaw in the Sweet 16 against Virginia but overall this program is definitely on the rise. | ||
19 | Connecticut | UConn gave Penn State a nice battle in the Second Round and will be a force in the AAC moving forward. | ||

21 | South Florida | Bulls could not slow down an excellent Illinois State side in the opening round but they will be a tough out moving forward. | ||
22 | California | The Golden Bears could not slow down a potent Florida attack in a second round loss. | ||
23 | Auburn | Auburn got back to the second round but could not hold a lead against Texas Tech as the Red Raiders wore them down late. | ||
24 | Boston University | The Terriers could not find a way to solve Northeastern offensively in a first round loss to the Huskies. | ||
25 | Washington State | Cougars suffer an excruciating setback in an upset loss to a fiery Seattle University side. WSU will continue to get better. |
