Last Four In: Northeastern, Cal Poly, Furman, Clemson
First Four Out: Xavier, California, Boston College, Providence
There was some great soccer played out west in the opening weekend of men’s soccer. Stanford and Cal hosted Maryland and Georgetown. There were quality results for everybody but the Terps. Maryland tied Stanford on Friday in a 3-3 shootout and then fell to the Bears on a golden goal. The Hoyas also lost to California, but they managed to squeak out a 2-0 win against the Cardinal. Overall it was a great weekend for the Pac-12. Washington cracked the College Sports Madness Top 25 and the Bruins got a huge overtime win over Indiana.
