NDSU Making Big Moves in The Madness FCS Football Playoff Bracket
North Dakota State does not always win pretty, but any game is ugly when you play Minnesota. After beating a couple cupcakes in weeks one and two, the Bison knocked off the Gophers by a score of 37-24. That got them the recognition they deserved, but beating Minnesota is not that great of accomplishment. Since then, NDSU has beaten a decent Illinois State squad and, most recently, had a huge road win at Southern Illinois. The Salukis were once right up there with Northern Iowa as cream of the crop in the MVFC. North Dakota State has taken SIU’s spot and has also quickly shot up the College Sports Madness bracket. The Bison still have some room to move up or down with a very tough slate of games coming up in late October and early November. This week the Bison take on winless Missouri State, but after that South Dakota State, Northern Iowa, Indiana State and Youngstown State are all on the schedule in consecutive weeks. If the Bison can survive that gauntlet, they might not be a high seed in the FCS Playoffs, they could be the top seed.
