Tyler Wilson Recieves Madness Player of the Week Honors
Arkansas needed a big win after their disappointing loss at Alabama. Quarterback Tyler Wilson would have to orchestrate the offense against a very good Texas A&M squad. In the first half nothing really went the Razorbacks way. Wilson and company found themselves down 35-17 at the break. But then Wilson stepped it up and led Arkansas to an amazing comeback, earning him the College Sports Madness Offensive Player of the Week. Wilson was forced to throw a lot in the second half and he was rather efficient and very effective. He completed 30 of 51 passes for 509 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson was knocked around quite a bit by the Aggie defense, but he hung in there and kept making big plays. It was the defense that tied the game up, with the help of a Wilson two-point conversion run, but Wilson led the Razorbacks down the field for the game winning score, a three yard scamper by back Broderick Green. Arkansas and Wilson needed the boost of confidence with a tough SEC slate awaiting them, starting with Auburn, and the come from behind victory led by Wilson might just provide the momentum Arkansas needs.
