5/14 Softball Bracketology Breakdown

Last Four In:  Liberty, Charlotte, Cal State Fullerton, Maryland

First Four Out:  Texas State, South Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia

Selection Sunday is here for the 2023 season and our final projection leaves out a few notable teams: Texas State, South Alabama, Ohio State, Virginia (and even Mississippi State and Penn State). Utah defeats UCLA in the inaugural Pac-12 Tournament Championship, but that does not give Utah enough boost to receive a national seed. Clemson, Florida, and Oregon are right on the edge of receiving that 16th national seed, but the edge goes to Louisiana. There are a couple of bubble bursters (MTSU is probably one of the most prominent of the bunch). It will be exciting to see how the selection committee will select the teams this season.
