With conference tournaments starting this week, it is make or break time for a lot of teams. Two teams that should feel much better heading into this week are Boston College and Louisiana Tech. Both teams entered last week needing a couple big wins to solidify their resume and they both got exactly what they needed. Boston College went on the road and took the final two games of their series with Georgia Tech. In doing so, the Eagles clinched a spot in the ACC Tournament and likely put the final touches on what should be a regional resume. While that feat was very impressive, Louisiana Tech might have one-upped them. The Bulldogs swept Rice and picked up the marquee series win that was lacking on the resume. Both teams should feel very confident heading into this week’s conference tournaments, as both teams get rematches of last weekend in the first round of their respective conference tournaments.
While Louisiana Tech and Boston College can feel pretty good entering this week, there are a lot of teams on the wrong side of the bubble looking to make a move. All it takes is for one team to catch fire in their conference tournament, and after looking at a lot of close conference races across the country, there is the potential for a lot of movement with this field.
